We have been thinking about homelessness and giving thanks for our homes. This Lent, we would like to raise money for a local charity called Elmbridge Rentstart so that we can help those who do not have a lovely home to live in like us.
The School Parliament and the rest of the school are excited to invite you to support us in our Sponsored RUNWILD for the Wildlife Garden on Thursday 13th February 2020.

Thank you for helping us to celebrate the harvest this year by donating food to our local food bank. They have sent us a big thank you for all your very generous donations.
Please note our next food bank collection will be on November 27th and will include a request for advent calendars as well as food and cleaning items.
The whole school was involved in the National Gallery’s Take one picture project
where schools from all around the country produce art based upon the same painting from the
Gallery's Collection: The Battle of San Romano.
The whole school were fortunate to receive a visit from the storyteller, Kevin Graal. Kevin met with all year groups and helped them developed their own story wheels. It was a fantastic day and inspired many budding authors throughout the school.
This year’s Science Week focussed on the 1969 Moon Landings, with children all across the school launching rockets, designing and creating their own class astronaut and learning the “hidden” story of the work of Katherine Johnson and her colleagues who calculated the orbits of the rockets, while working as “human computers” for NASA.
Two years ago we had a visit from Kakatsitsi, master drummers from Ghana. Their drumming, dancing and singing were so amazing that we invited them back to help us celebrate Black History Month this year. The children have enjoyed another fun-filled, hands-on, high-energy day with an interactive performance followed by drumming and dancing workshops for all the classes during the day
St Alban's received a Letter from the Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP congratulating our staff and pupils on the schools outstanding achievement in the 2018 phonics screening check.
