Prospective Parents Information

St. Alban’s Catholic Primary School is an outstanding catholic school with a wonderfully nurturing environment and our excellent SATs results have made St. Alban's one of the best state-funded primary school in the whole of Surrey.

Our School Moto is ‘Lead the Way’ and this is something we all try to do in our everyday lives. All our children are encouraged to do 10/10 learning in all lessons. We have created a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that enables our children to become resilient, independent learners and encourages them to take risks, solve problems and think for themselves.

We have a lovely family here at St. Albans and all our children actively become caring members of our school family and wider society.

Open morning events, in which those interested in sending their child to St Alban’s can visit the school and learn more about us, will be held during the Autumn term (see date below). These tours, alongside the information provided below, will give you an insight into school life.

Here are just a few comments we have received from our recent parent and pupil surveys:

"The clear love for the children and families in your care has been so uplifting. What a wonderful job you have all done under such difficult conditions. We are even more impressed than we were before if that were possible!". (Parent comment, 2020)

"How lucky we are to have a school staff who care so much about the education, physical and mental well-being of our children". (Parent comment, 2020)

“I’m very happy with the school. The quality of teaching is excellent, teachers are kind and caring.” (Parent survey response, 2019)

“The school encourages our son to be caring, work hard and be the best little boy he can be. They take care of our son and make him feel happy and secure.” (Parent survey response, 2019)

‘School is nice and calm. I feel very safe when I come to school. I love all the different activities we do and my favourite was the VR workshop where I got to visit Rome!’ (Yr4 pupil, pupil voice, Jan 20)

“The support and kindness shown to my child is wonderful. They are always thinking about what is best for him and his learning.” (Parent Survey response, 2019)
